Birthday Gatherings, Workshops, Events & Masterclass Policy
This policy applies to birthday gatherings, workshops, special events, adult masterclasses, and private group bookings at Happy Glaze Ceramics. These bookings require advance planning, staffing, and preparation and are therefore subject to extended notice periods and specific booking terms.
Workshops, Events & Adult Masterclasses
Full payment is required at the time of booking and is taken via Stripe through our website.
Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.
Cancellations or date change requests must be received by email with at least 7 days’ notice prior to the scheduled date to qualify for a refund or transfer.
Cancellations or date changes made with less than 7 days’ notice are non-refundable and non-transferable, as these sessions cannot be resold at short notice.
Birthday Gatherings
Deposits are required for birthday gatherings of more than 5 people and are taken via Stripe through our booking system.
Deposits must be paid within 24 hours of the booking request to secure the date and time. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe, the booking request may be released and the date offered to another customer.
Deposits are deducted from the final bill on the day of the booking.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable if:

the required notice period is not met

painters do not attend on the day

fewer guests attend than originally booked

Private Group Bookings
(Half Studio & Full Studio Hire)
Cancellations or date change requests must be received by email with at least 14 days’ notice prior to the scheduled date to qualify for a refund or transfer.

Group Size & Supervision
Birthday gatherings are subject to a maximum group size, which cannot be increased for any reason.
All attendees must be seated at all times; standing is not permitted in the studio.
A responsible supervising adult must be present at all times during children’s birthday gatherings and remains responsible for the behaviour and safety of the group throughout the session.
Due to space limitations, prams are not permitted during birthday gatherings.
Arrival, Timing & Session Management
Please arrive on time for your booking. Late arrivals may result in reduced painting time.
Sessions run for a fixed duration and cannot be extended if guests arrive late.
Happy Glaze Ceramics reserves the right to end a session early if behaviour becomes unsafe or disruptive. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
Snacks, Drinks & Celebrations
Individual packs of snacks and soft drinks may be brought for birthday gatherings.
Hot food is not permitted in the studio under any circumstances.
Alcohol is permitted only during adult-only events where explicitly stated.
Separate Policies
Standard studio bookings are covered under a separate cancellation and rescheduling policy.
General studio use is governed by our Terms & Conditions, which apply to all customers.
This policy allows us to plan sessions fairly, staff the studio appropriately, and provide the best possible experience for all guests.
