Terms and conditions

Welcome to our Happy Glaze Ceramics! Before you begin your creative journey, please take a moment to read and understand the following terms and conditions. By participating in our studio activities, you agree to comply with these terms:

 

1. Reservations and Fees:

  • Reservations are recommended to ensure availability. Walk-ins are subject to availability.
  • A studio fee is required per painter, which covers the use of materials, paints, brushes, and studio time.

2. Studio Usage:

  • All materials and equipment provided by the studio must be used responsibly and solely for their intended purposes.
  • Proper studio etiquette is expected. Loud or disruptive behavior that disturbs others may result in you being asked to leave.

3. Paint and Glaze:

  • Only studio-provided paints and glazes are allowed. Outside materials are prohibited.

4. Abandonded artwork:

  • Once we text to confirm your items are ready, we will store your completed artwork for up to 12 weeks.
  • Artworks left beyond the 12-week period will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of at the studio’s discretion.

5. Breakages:

  • Any pottery items that are accidentally broken, damaged, or cracked during your session must be paid for based on their retail value.
  • Payment for breakages is due at the end of your session.

6. Collection of Artwork:

  • Painted items must be collected within 12 weeks of the painting session.
  • It is the responsibility of the artist to arrange for the pickup of their artwork during our opening times.
  • Unclaimed items after the 12-week period will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of (see point 4).

7. Finished Artwork:

  • Painted pottery items will be fired in our kiln for a professional finish.
  • Please note that colors may appear different after firing.

8. Health and Safety:

  • The studio is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or health issues that may occur during your visit.
  • Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

9. Personal Belongings:

  • The studio is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

10. Photography:

  • Feel free to take photos of your artwork and your experience in the studio! However, please respect the privacy of others and ask for their permission before photographing them.

11. Intellectual Property:

  • Any designs, patterns, or artwork provided by the studio are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes.

12. Changes to advertised events:

  • The studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full deposit refund or alternative session will be offered.

13.  Cancellation:

  • We do not offer refunds for cancellations on our workshops, adult masterclasses or any pre-paid activity unless the cancellation is made by email at least 7 days’ prior advance notice.
  • Deposits are taken for bookings over 7 people via our Zettle system which is non refundable if painters do not turn up on the day.
  • For tables of 10 or less, cancellations can be made 7 days before and a full refund provided.  
  • For groups of 11 or over, cancellations can be made 14 days before and a full refund provided.  
  • Should you wish to change the date of your event, you need to provide 7 days notice for tables of 10 or less, or 14 days notice for groups over 11.
