Terms and conditions

  • Welcome to Happy Glaze Ceramics. By making a booking, attending a session, or using our studio, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These are in place to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for all customers.

    Studio Sessions & Participation

Happy Glaze Ceramics is a paint-your-own pottery studio. We do not offer wet clay or pottery throwing.

All sessions are self-guided unless otherwise stated.

Customers are responsible for following staff guidance at all times to ensure the safety of themselves and others.

We reserve the right to refuse service or end a session early if behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

    Children & Supervision

Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

The supervising adult remains fully responsible for the child’s behaviour and safety throughout the session.

Age restrictions apply to certain sessions, events, and birthday gatherings and will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

    Accessibility & Studio Environment

We are happy to accommodate wheelchair users where possible. Please contact us in advance so we can prepare the space appropriately.

Due to space limitations, prams may not be permitted during certain sessions, events, or birthday gatherings. This will be clearly communicated in advance where applicable.

    Pottery, Glazing & Collection

Finished pottery will be glazed and fired by our team after your session.

While we take great care with all items, ceramics are fragile by nature. Minor imperfections, colour variation, or firing-related changes can occur and are considered part of the handmade process.

In the rare event of kiln damage, our liability is limited to the replacement of the pottery item or the value paid for that item.

Customers will be notified when items are ready for collection.

Items not collected within 12 weeks of notification may be donated or disposed of due to limited storage space.

    Snacks, Drinks & Alcohol

Snacks and drinks may be consumed only in designated areas.

Alcohol is permitted only during adult-only events where explicitly stated.

Customers must drink responsibly. We reserve the right to refuse alcohol consumption or end a session if behaviour becomes inappropriate.

    Personal Belongings

Personal belongings are brought into the studio at your own risk.

Happy Glaze Ceramics is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.

    Photography & Social Media

We may occasionally take photographs or videos in the studio for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in any imagery, please inform a member of staff on arrival.

    Health & Safety

Customers participate in activities at their own risk.

Paints and materials used are non-toxic, but hands should be washed after painting and before eating or drinking.

Any accidents, spills, or breakages should be reported to a member of staff immediately.

    Pricing & Payments

Prices are as advertised at the time of booking or purchase.

All pottery items, studio fees, and event prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Full payment is required before items are glazed and fired.

    Separate Policies

Cancellation, rescheduling, birthday gathering, workshop, event, masterclass, and group booking terms are covered under separate policies, available on our website or upon request.

    Amendments

Happy Glaze Ceramics reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version displayed on our website at the time of booking will apply.
