Birthday Gatherings, Workshops, Events & Masterclass Policy

Group Bookings, Events & Session Policy

This policy applies to workshops, special events, adult masterclasses, and group bookings at Happy Glaze Ceramics.

These sessions require advance planning, staffing, and studio preparation and are therefore subject to the booking and cancellation terms outlined below.

Workshops, Events & Adult Masterclasses

Workshops, special events, and adult masterclasses take place at fixed dates and times.

Full payment is required at the time of booking and is taken through our website via Stripe. Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.

If you are unable to attend, cancellations must be received by email at least 7 days before the scheduled session to qualify for a refund.

Cancellations made within 7 days of the session are non-refundable, as spaces cannot usually be resold at short notice.

Bookings for workshops, events, and masterclasses cannot be transferred to another date.

Tables of More Than 4 People

Bookings for groups of more than 4 people require a deposit and must be made through our booking system.

Deposits are taken via Stripe and must be paid within 24 hours of the booking request to secure the date and time. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the booking request may be released and the slot offered to another customer.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable if the required notice period is not met, guests do not attend on the day, or fewer guests attend than originally booked.

Cancellations or date change requests must be received by email at least 72 hours before the scheduled booking to qualify for a refund or transfer.

Requests made within 72 hours are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Private Group Bookings (Half Studio & Full Studio Hire)

Private group bookings require a minimum spend to secure the studio space.

Half Studio (11–16 people) – £100 minimum spend.

Full Studio Hire (17–28 people) – £350 minimum spend.

Minimum spend is based on the booking rather than the number of guests who attend.

If fewer guests attend or spend less than the minimum amount, the remaining balance will still be payable.

Minimum spend payments must be made within 24 hours of the booking request to secure the date and time. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the booking request may be released and the date offered to another customer.

Cancellations or date change requests must be received by email at least 7 days before the scheduled booking to qualify for a refund or transfer.

Requests made within 7 days are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Table Capacity & Supervision

Bookings are arranged based on studio table capacity, and group sizes cannot exceed the seating available for each table.

All attendees must remain seated during the session. Standing or moving around the studio is not permitted, as this may disrupt other guests and create safety risks.

For bookings that include children, a responsible supervising adult must be present at all times and remains responsible for the behaviour and safety of the group throughout the session.

Due to space limitations in the studio, prams are not permitted during group bookings.

Arrival & Session Timing

Please arrive on time for your booking.

Sessions run for a fixed duration, and late arrivals may result in reduced painting time.

Happy Glaze Ceramics reserves the right to end a session early if behaviour becomes unsafe or disruptive. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

Snacks & Drinks

Individual packs of snacks and soft drinks may be brought for group bookings.

Hot food is not permitted in the studio under any circumstances.

Alcohol is permitted only during adult-only events where explicitly stated.

Separate Policies

Standard studio bookings are covered under a separate cancellation and rescheduling policy.

General studio use is governed by our Terms & Conditions, which apply to all customers.

Thank you for your understanding. These policies allow us to plan sessions fairly, prepare the studio appropriately, and ensure the best possible experience for all guests.
